Wernher von Braun: A Biographical Memoir (Hardback) [Ernst Stuhlinger and Frederick I. Ordway III - 1994]
375 pgs, 1994, Krieger Publishers ISBN 978-0894649691 This book is based on the very close personal relationships between von Braun and the authors (Stuhlinger for 34 years and Ordway for 25). More than 100 carefully recorded and edited interviews and several hundred verbal and written comments on von Braun by people who knew him well were used for the book. While the book broadly maintains the historical sequence of events, particular features of von Braun's character, his ways of working and managing, and of just plainly enjoying his life, often take precedence over chronology.
